The Thesaurus was established in 1893 as a project of the five German-speaking Academies then in existence. In 1949 it was placed on a new, international foundation with the setting up of the International Commission for the Thesaurus linguae Latinae. The Commission comprises delegates from the participating institutions in (at present) 25 countries – no more than one institution from each country, together with the eight German Academies – and a number of individual members.

NARGAMM (North American Research Group in Ancient Myth and Mythography) is a research network devoted to the study of myth and mythography in Antiquity, primarily focused on the Greek and Roman world. Its main purpose is to connect scholars and teachers of myth and mythography to promote the understanding of the uses, organisation, and transmission of mythography.

This group, which was founded by the CEC alongside the University of Bari, focuses on Classics and Classical heritage themes. It is composed of early career researchers. Universities involved: Università degli Studi di Bari ‘Aldo Moro’, Universidad de Cádiz, Universidad de Almería, Universidad del País Vasco, Università degli studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale, Università di Verona.

The group studies Late Antique and Medieval poetry.

The network focuses on women’s cultural production in Spain and colonial Latin America up to 1800.

The network brings together researchers from all over the world who are working on texts from the Flavian period.

The network aims to create a Digital Library of Humanism and Classical Tradition in Iberia. It includes more than thirty European universities.

This thematic network was created at the Université de Lille 3 in 1997. It includes nowadays researchers from several universities who approach ancient literature and imagery from a sociocultural and aesthetic perspective by focusing on the dialogue between Greek and Latin texts.
